I am a Mississippi native and graduated from Natchez High School in 2001. I ran track and played football throughout high school. While I competed in the 100, 200, 400 as well as multiple relays, my specialty was the 400 meters. My best time was a 47.43 and I was the Mississippi 5A state champion in 2001. In addition, I was undefeated that season as well. My running success helped me obtain a football scholarship to University of Southern Arkansas. I was able to use my speed as a wide receiver.

You know how they refer to things being in your veins, well, that is is how it is with me and running. It just a love that started when I was young and this zeal has never diminished. Running has taught me discipline and perseverance which has helped shape the man that I am today. I hope to pass this on to our team as a coach. I want them love to run but also to grow in character as well.

When I see a child finish a race or attain a personal best, It makes my sacrifice worth it. This has changed a life forever. This child will look back at that moment and be able to reflect and relive the feeling. They can always reach back when the times get tough and use it to propel them. We may not have any future Olympic champions but we hope to shape their heart and character so that they will be success people regardless of their life’s destiny. I am honored to have the privilege to assist in their journey.
